Alternative Admissions Pathways

911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business is dedicated to creating flexible, accessible pathways for students of all backgrounds and experiences. Whether you’re a high school student, a mature learner, or a working professional, our range of pathway options helps you reach your educational goals in a way that suits your unique journey. For more information on eligibility and the application process, we encourage you to connect with our advising team.

If you have completed a diploma or course credits from one of the post-secondary institutions below, our block transfer option may allow you to receive advanced standing in a business program. This helps reduce the number of required courses, saving you both time and tuition costs while still ensuring you graduate with the critical knowledge and skills needed in today’s dynamic business environment.

  • Algonquin College: Students with a minimum GPA of 67% from any of their Business Administration Advanced Diplomas can transfer to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at fourth year standing (90 credits) and students from their Business Administration Diplomas can transfer to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø BBA at third year standing (60 credits).
  • Coast Mountain College: Students who successfully complete any of their three business administration diplomas (Accounting, HR and Management) can transfer into the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Bachelor of Business Administration degree at third year standing (60 credits).  Students who successfully complete their Business Administration Certificate can transfer into either the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Business Administration Diploma or BBA with second year standing (30 credits).
  • College of New Caledonia:  Students who complete the two-year CNC diplomas in Business Management or Accounting and Finance with a minimum GPA of 67% will be eligible for admission with third year standing (60 credits).
  • Keyano College:  Students who successfully complete their two year diplomas in management, Accounting or Human Resources will be eligible for admission with third year standing (60 credits).
  • Lakeland College: Students who complete any of the two-year diploma Business Administration programs in accounting, general business, marketing or small business and entrepreneurship with a 67% minimum GPA are eligible for admission with third year standing (60 credits).
  • Lethbridge College:  Students who complete any of the two-year diploma Business Administration programs in accounting, management, marketing or general business with a 67% minimum GPA are eligible for admission with third year standing (60 credits).
  • Medicine Hat College: Students who complete the two-year MHC Business Administration diplomas in management, accounting, marketing, financial services or hospitality and tourism with a minimum GPA of 67% will be eligible for admission with third year standing (60 credits).
  • Northern Lights College: Students who successfully complete any of their three business management diplomas (Accounting, HR and General) can transfer into the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Bachelor of Business Administration degree at third year standing (60 credits).
  • Selkirk College: Students with a minimum GPA of 67% from any of their Business Administration Advanced Diplomas can transfer to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at fourth year standing (90 credits) and students from their Business Administration Diplomas can transfer to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø BBA at third year standing (60 credits).
  • Vancouver Community College:  Students who successfully complete their two year diploma in marketing technology or accounting can transfer into the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Bachelor of Business Administration degree at third year standing (60 credits).

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a valuable pathway for individuals who have gained relevant knowledge and skills through work experience, training programs, volunteering, or other non-traditional learning opportunities. At 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business, PLAR offers a chance to have your existing competencies recognized so you can receive credit toward a business program. This recognition can help fast-track your educational journey, potentially saving you both time and money on your credential. By validating the expertise you already possess, PLAR empowers you to focus on the gaps in your learning, ensuring you graduate with the well-rounded skill set employers seek.
